We are very glad to inform you that the project “Civic Monitoring for the Future of Europe” for the promotion of innovative tools of active citizenship in the field of environment and climate, it’s going to start its activities.
The project’s activities will start with a four days european training on the 10th september 2021 and will take place in the city of Lecce, in Apulia region.
The training is aimed to train the participants in the methodology of “civic” monitoring. The trainers are part of the staff of Monithon, an italian organization that has developed and promotes a specific method of civic monitoring based on the analysis of the open-data provided by public administration for projects funded through european structural funds.
The projects involves seven organizations coming from six different european countries, including Italy, that after the training will launch a series of civic monitoring sessions back in their countries focusing each on the monitoring of one local project.
The training will end on the 13th with a final seminar which will take place at the cultural center Manifatture Knos in Lecce, and will see as guests some important journalist and activist on the italian scene.
The training and the final seminar are also open to interested external guests upon reservation.
