EVENT DESCRIPTION:

InnoPolis organized the second debate to monitor the “Reuse of old papermill in Aigio”, a project funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). The debate event in Greece took place at the offices of InnoPolis in Aigio. The meeting was attended by 10 citizens, 8 women and 2 men; 5 of them had participated in the previous debate.

The facilitators, Mr Ioannis Papagiannopoulos and Mrs Zakelina Sirinian, presented the Monithon methodology and explained the research phases. They shared with the members of the group the canvas model, and they used the technique of brainstorming for the planning on the research work.

After desk research of all the documentation and open data available for the project in the Greek Open Data platform for EU funded projects (https://anaptyxi.gov.gr/el-gr), the participants realized that they need more information about the works, the study for the restoration of the building, and the environmental impact of the project. Therefore, they decided to make an interview with the representatives of the municipality of Aigialeia (Vice mayor or Head of Technical Services) and the contractor.

Then, the participants were divided into two groups. The first (six persons) elaborated the indicative questions for the interview while the four members of the other group were concentrated on identifying the representatives of Municipality possibly available for an interview.

Finally, they organized their visit to the old papermill, where they will conduct the interviews.
